Description
Invited talk. BioMove, University of Potsdam... Invite you to a symposium that we are organizing. I am fascinated by your work on energetic costs especially of locomotion. Me and some others of our group are also working with animal energetics from different perspectives, e.g., measuring energy expenditure of different behaviors in hares or building metabolic simulation models. I personally am working on a metabolic community model for a small mammal community and locomotion costs are such an important part of the model and the diversity outcome! We would love to meet you personally at this opportunity:
After almost eight years of existence of our graduate school BioMove (funded by DFG), we, the PhD students of the third cohort, are planning an international symposium next year. As in our PhD projects, it will be all about the combination of movement and behavioural ecology and biodiversity research. To uncover the links between those research fields we apply methods ranging from field observations, GPS-tracking and genetic analysis to ecological modelling and work on organisms such as fungi, plankton, birds and mammals. For more information about us, please feel free to visit our website at https://www.bio-move.org/. Since we think you could make an interesting contribution related to our topics, we would like to invite you as a key note speaker for our symposium! It will take place from 28.02. to 1.03.2024 in Potsdam, Germany. We will be able to cover your travel costs. More information will follow. We would be very pleased if you would accept our invitation! Please let us know as soon as possible.
