DescriptionEl Estornudo (The Sneeze), founded in March 2016, is a Cuban online publication produced by journalists working both in the island and abroad. It covers a wide range of issues, with focus on Cuban politics, society, culture, literature and sport, though it also publishes articles about topics of global interest. Its articles are reproduced by media across Latin America, the US and Spain, and by countless websites. Journalist Jorge Carrasco, won the 2017 Gabriel García Márquez Award for Journalism for a piece in El Estornudo. In February 2018, the Cuban government blocked access to the site from within the country.
