International Coordinator for the series of Seminars PENSAR LO REAL (Thinking the Real) for Midbo 23 – Muestra Internacional Documental de Bogotá

I organised and curated 4 seminars/masterclasses in the context of the Midbo 23 – Muestra Internacional Documental de Bogotá. These which conducted online and open to the whole of Latin America.

Each seminar was divided into two parts. The first part contains a MA Class session chaired by the invited coordinator of the Seminar PENSAR LO REAL, Enrica Colusso. In the second part, there are talks by the different guests at the Seminar.

The first of the four seminars was: Poetics of the political - Guest: Jessica Beshir in dialogue with Enrica Colusso (Seminar Coordinator) and Bíbata Uribe (Associate Programmer 23 MIDBO). The Mexican-Ethiopian filmmaker Jessica Beshir invites us to discuss her poetics and political approach to her documentary practice, through excerpts from her feature film Faya Dayi (2021) and his short Hairat.
