Beverley Hughes was previously the Minister of State for Children, Young People and Families, who oversaw the development and expansion of Sure Start programs.

The aim of these interviews is to understand the intentions behind and implementation of Sure Start programs. These interviews will be used in our national report, which examines the effectiveness of Sure Start in mitigating educational inequalities.
