Description
This is an opportunity to share the findings from a funded research project called ‘What must I seem like to you’, funded by VAMHN, UKRI. The study focuses on the terminology of victim versus that of survivor and how this impacts the recovery process and the education around violence and abuse. The reflection day will be to work with professionals, survivors and researchers to do activities around how we can improve our practices.Organised by Jogie, the day will feature some special guests invited to do lightening sessions (15 min short talks) to engage with our small gathering (approximately 20-25 people). We will provide a training taster session on reading data, highlight research on hidden cases of abuse and violence and do some mind mapping activities to come up with bespoke solutions and next steps of collaborative project development. All invited participants have experience and knowledge to share and are welcomed to be part of our reflection day.
