'The Participation Party'

Description

The findings of this project were presented at an exhibition 11-20 July. It made an impact on and stimulated pledges from the cross-party Wandsworth Borough Councillors who visited it and met the community attending the launch. The findings were then shared with the Council leader, Chief Exec and Cabinet. The Housing and Environment Committees voted for measures and the necessary budget to improve the entrance areas the three year-old children identified, so the exhibition informed change. The spaces around the pillars where the children want to play in are under the tower blocks where they live but families have been reluctant to use them because of refuse and smells. These will be improved. The exhibition was also invited to Wandsworth's Roehampton Library from 14 -30 November 2023 to reach even more of the local the community.
