Ali joined the university in 2003 after more than twenty years of teaching History in secondary schools. Programme Convenor for PGCE Secondary since 2012. Ali enjoys working with colleagues at The National Archives at Kew on an MA module focused on Evidence and Enquiry; and with Esther Arnott and colleagues as a member of the London History Network.
