Research interests

I am currently in the process of moving from research on the language of money and debt to the language of waste. Both projects focus on the language used by or to 'ordinary' people in order to better understand human culture, communication and relationships with the world.

My previous dealt with human rights, the body and language. This work provides an answer to the quest for a universal foundation for human rights. I have also conducted some research on spoken signs and past work includes research in the fields of HIV/AIDS and quality of life, globalisation and marginal religious movements.

I welcome research proposals on any of the above. I'd be particularly interested in the analysis of anything  related to money and financial inequality.
