Biography

Bernardo is an Associate Professor and Deputy Head of the Finance and Digital Economy Department at the Faculty of Business and Law, University of Roehampton. He also serves as an external examiner for University College Cork, Ireland, and as a visiting professor at Grande École Audencia, France. Previously, he held roles as Head of the Marketing, Operations, Supply Chain, and Innovation (MOSI) subject area at Roehampton, Head of Economics and Senior Tutor at Forward College, and Assistant Professor at the University of Lisbon, Portugal. Bernardo holds a PhD in Management from Nova School of Business and Economics (Nova SBE), Portugal.

His research focuses on strategic management, particularly corporate philanthropy, with numerous publications in leading academic journals, including Organization Science. His current research explores the strategic implications of human capital legacies as well organizarional learning and risk-taking processes.
