Biography

Chiharu Narikiyo is a PhD candidate in the Centre for Sustainability and Responsible Management at the University of Roehampton, London under the supervision of Prof. Elaine Harris, Prof. Molly Scott Cato and Dr Moataz Elmassri. Her research explores how organizational decision-making balances financial and non-financial considerations to achieve sustainable development goals as well as financial goals. Her research is fully funded by a scholarship in Roehampton Business School with a Social Conscience (2021-2023).

Prior to academia, she worked for 13 years in accounting, starting as an accounting systems engineer at an IT consultancy firm, then moving to a financial accountant in a medical company.
