Biography
I am currently a Lecturer in the BA and MA in Early Childhood Studies Programmes at the University of Roehampton where I finished my PhD in Education in 2017. Before I started my doctoral studies in the United Kingdom, I was a Senior Lecturer in Educational Policy and Research in the school of Education at the Universidad Distrital in Colombia.

- Member of the Gender and Education Association.
- Member of the American Educational Research Association – AERA.
- Member of the Research Network ‘Cultures of Early Childhood Education and Care’ (CECEC). Members of this research network focus on issues of diversity, along with the powerful social and cultural dynamics of a globalizing world and explore Early Childhood prevalent discourses in the educational field worldwide.
Teaching
I teach mostly on the BA Early Childhood Studies. I am module convenor for Communication, Language and Literacy and Contemporary Issues in Education. I am module tutor for Being a Professional in Early Years, Research Proposal and Report/ Dissertation. I am also module convenor for Early Childhood Pedagogy and Practice on the MA Early Childhood Studies.
Research Projects
- I have been a co-researcher and co-author in the explorative study ‘the impact and implications of privatisation in early childhood education’ led by the Early Childhood Research Centre.
- I am a member of the research team for the Erasmus Plus Project E+ Inclusion (Cross-regional Peer Learning and Operationalization of Strategies for the Social Dimension in Armenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina) led by the Learning and Teaching Enhancement Unit at the University of Roehampton.
