Biography

Since September 2024 Professor Dan Nunan has been Executive Dean of the Faculty of Business & Law and Professor of Management at the University of Roehampton, London. Previously, he was a Professor at the University of Warwick and Associate Dean (Education) at WMG, the largest academic department at Warwick and one of the world’s leading industrial research and education groups. Before this he was Head of School and Professor of Management at the University of Portsmouth. 

Dan has published papers in  leading journals including Journal of Management Studies, Journal of Business Ethics, Industrial Marketing Management, Journal of Small Business Management, Psychology and Marketing and the Journal of Public Policy and Marketing. Since 2019 he has been Editor in Chief of the International Journal of Market Research, and is lead author of a research methods textbook, now in its 6th edition, adopted by more then 400 business schools across Europe. In 2022 he was named as one of 10 leading academics globally in the fields of market research, data-driven marketing and insight, by professional body ESOMAR. Dan’s research has been the basis for research with many leading companies as well as the UK Cabinet Office. His recent research on AI and aging was cited by the Whitehouse in the 2024 Economic Report of the President.

Dan is passionate about the delivery of high-quality education and is a member of the Quality Investigations Committee of the OfS, the regulator of Higher Education in England. Earlier in his career Dan worked at Birkbeck, University of London and Henley Business School, University of Reading. He completed an ESRC funded PhD at Cranfield School of Management, Masters degrees from Cranfield and Strathclyde and an undergraduate degree from the University of York.
