Biography

Emily Corbett is a PhD candidate at the National Centre for Research in Children's Literature. She will submit her doctoral thesis, titled "Transitions in the Twenty-First-Century Young Adult Book Market", in Autumn 2021. Her recent publications include "Transgender Books in Transgender Packages: The peritextual materials of young adult fiction" (2020) and "Ploughing the Field: A Discussion About YA Studies" (2020) which she co-authored with Dr Leah Phillips.

Emily is also Vice President of the Young Adult Studies Association (YASA) and Associate Editor of The International Journal of Young Adult Literature (IJYAL).
