Biography

I am a theologian and historian specialising in the Second Temple period. As a Methodist minister in an active church role, I have a particular interest in exploring the importance of the history and literature of the inter-testamental period for understanding the New Testament. My current research is focussed on my PhD, which is examining the effect of popular memories of the Maccabean Revolt in 1st century Judea on contemporary responses to Jesus.
