Biography
I trained as a teacher and later as an artist at Chelsea and the Royal College of Art, gaining the Allen Lane Prize for Design History. I have taught in UK Art Schools, including University of the Arts London (Chelsea and Camberwell Colleges). I currently teach part-time at Roehampton, working also at the British Library and taking on freelance projects. I am a Fellow in Holocaust Education at the Imperial War Museum, London and have worked with several other key organizations involved in Holocaust education. These include: Yad Vashem, Beth Shalom, Facing History and the Wiener Library. As well as exhibiting artwork and publishing illustration, I write and publish on a variety of cultural subjects. For Penguin Books, I wrote and curated an app for iPad on Anne Frank's The Diary of A Young Girl (Definitive Edition). I am a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.

Interests
At the British Library (BL) I deliver talks and workshops to complement BL displays, including: Sacred Texts; Taking Liberties: The Struggle for Britain's Freedoms and Rights; the Avant-Garde; Henry VIII; 1968; Points of View (19th Century Photography); Comics Unmasked; Georgians Revealed; Illuminated Manuscripts; Magna Carta: Law, Liberty, Legacy; Shakespeare in Ten Acts; Evolving English (the use and development of the English language). As an artist and designer, I'm interested in all forms of visual communication and film, as well as language and literature. My particular interest is the representation of the Holocaust and human rights in art, literature and film.
