Irma is Senior Lecturer in Accounting and Finance at Roehampton Business School. Previously, she has worked at University of Roma Tre, University of Naples Parthenope and Link Campus University in Italy. She has completed the PhD in Banking and Finance at the University of Rome Tor Vergata (Italy).

Research interests

Irma is an active researcher and has a wide area of research interests in the field of accounting and finance, including integrated reporting, risk disclosure, market discipline, risk management, insurance companies, banks and bank-firm relationship. Irma's work has been published in international and national peer-reviewed journals and co-authored for Palgrave Macmillan the first book on Solvency II. Irma's work has also been regularly presented at a number of international conferences.

Irma is currently working on a research project funded by the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) on the role of corporate culture in the choice of integrated reporting.


Irma teaches Accounting and Finance modules in the Business School, including: Management Accounting Techniques (Level 5), Corporate Finance (Level 6), Financial Performance Management (Level 7), and is Academic Guidance Tutor (circa 40 students).

Irma has been a member of the Learning and Teaching Quality Group at Roehampton University Business School.
