Jian Bakir is a PhD research student in the School of Education since 2022, exploring the impact of the Syrian conflict on teaching and learning. Operating under the supervision of Dr. Debora Sabric and Dr. Evelyn Corrado. Her academic background includes a Master of Arts in Early Childhood studies from the University of Roehampton, UK and a Bachelor of Arts in education and social science from St Mary's University, UK. Her current research concentrates on primary school teachers' experiences in teaching before, during, and after the Syrian conflict.
