Biography

Lesley Prior has been a part time Senior Lecturer in RE at Roehampton University since 2009 after nine years at The Institute of Education, University of London. She also worked for many years as RE Adviser to schools in the London Borough of Hounslow and continues to support the subject in a variety of other contexts across London and beyond.

Research projects

Currently engaged in research on a new pedagogical approach to RE in primary schools which is being actively trialled in both countries.

Professional affiliations

Lesley is a member of the Shap Working Party on Religions in Education, a member of the RE Council of England and Wales and Vice Chair of the National Association of SACREs (NASACRE). She represents England on both the Executive and the Board of The European Forum of Teachers of RE (EFTRE). With Abdullah Trevathan (from Roehampton University) and Hugo Verkest (from KATHO Teacher Training College in West Flanders, Belgium),
