Personal profile

Biography

Louistas Nyuyse is a Senior Healthcare Lecturer at the University of Roehampton, where he co-leads the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in healthcare education. His pioneering work in building AI-powered assessment and revision bots has already contributed to measurable improvements in student success rates, demonstrating his commitment to educational innovation and equity.

Educated across several disciplines, Louistas holds a BPhil in Philosophy, Ethics, Logic, and Psychology from the Pontifical Urbaniana University in Rome (1999), a PGCE with QTS in Religious Education, Philosophy, and Ethics from the University of Southampton (2005), and a Master’s in Catholic School Leadership and Management from St. Mary’s University, Twickenham (2012). He later transitioned into healthcare, graduating with a First-Class Honours BSc in Adult Nursing from the University of Surrey (2017) and registering with the Nursing and Midwifery Council the same year. His postgraduate development continued with a Level 7 Mentorship in Nursing (2018), complementing his academic and clinical expertise.

Before entering higher education, he served as Head of Department in secondary schools, leading Religious Education and Ethics while driving curriculum innovation. His nursing career included frontline practice at the Royal Surrey County Hospital, where he served as Staff Nurse and Infection Control Lead, spearheading initiatives in sepsis management and infection prevention. In higher education, he has taught at the Universities of Surrey, Bedfordshire, and Roehampton, where he continues to inspire the next generation of healthcare professionals.

His scholarly contributions include several published works, notably:

  • Fast-Track A&E: Beat The Queue, Beat The Clock

He has delivered keynote talks at conferences, including presentations on AI in healthcare education at the University of Bournemouth, and contributes regularly to professional development summits, CPD training, and industry collaborations.

A published author, transformational coach, and international speaker, Louistas has trained and mentored individuals across more than 20 countries. His coaching philosophy reflects his endorsement of the “each one, teach one” principle, and he empowers professionals, educators, and entrepreneurs to align purpose with prosperity. His work blends academic rigor with practical application, drawing on over two decades of teaching, clinical, and leadership experience.
