I am currently a Lecturer in Sociology and International Relations at University of Roehampton. I have experience commissioning and editing a think tank's opinion series, researching with a number of organisations, public speaking and extensive campaigning and communications experience as well as delivering academic papers.
I have published a number of papers and books on green criminology, sociology of rights and the political economy of genocide and mass violence. I have submitted my PhD examining the nexus between genocide and ecological destruction in Australia and Kenya.
My ambition is to contribute original research in the field of genocide studies, green criminology, environmental sociology and to become a successful lecturer at university.
Reseach Interests
The political economy of genocide, ecocide and the nexus between the two. I am also interested in the sociology of rights and understanding the drivers of their violation and transgression as well as how they are secured on the social, political and cultural fields. I draw on a number of fields of enquiry such as political ecology, green criminology political economy and sociology.
