Biography

Dr Mastaneh Davis has a background in the application of Mathematics and is an experienced practitioner with more than 16 years teaching experience in addition to 6 years working as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow. Currently, Dr Davis is the undergraduate cyber security programme convenor at the university of Roehampton.

She is an accomplished researcher with experience of supervising PhD candidates and have a particular interest in the domains of digital forensics and threat intelligence. Recently, she has worked in area of DNS tunnelling, exfiltration and detection over cloud environments and published a journal paper (2023).  She is currently developing a permission-based privacy risk model for mobile applications, which will enhance detection of data privacy issues in Android Mobiles.

 Dr Davis has had a longstanding involvement with educational research and has published widely in the areas of online mathematics teaching aids (CalculEng) and investigating the attainment gap of students in Higher Education.
