Biography

I am a full time research student pursuing a PhD in Psychology at the University of Roehampton, London. My area of study is in traumatology, more specifically, in Secondary Traumatic Stress Disorder in the context of the covid-19 pandemic.

I am an experienced professional in the mental health industry having worked in the capacity of a military counsellor, school counsellor, volunteer, mental health support worker and self-employed mental health counsellor for over 5 years. My expertise in therapy is in the domain of depressive and anxiety disorders. My professional expertise in the field has piqued my interest in common mental health disorders. The covid-19 pandemic and the plight of healthcare workers was my motivation to develop a specific interest in studying wellbeing and traumatology of healthcare workforce within the context of the pandemic    

Research interests

My research interest in the domain of common mental health conditions including: trauma and stress- related disorders, depressive and anxiety disorders

Qualifications

I hold an MSc in Clinical Psychology from the University of South Wales and an MSc in Counselling Psychology from Martin Luther Christian University, India.
