Biography

Paul has led the development of Roehampton’s nursing provision since January 2019 including curriculum development and validation, establishment of practice learning partnerships, recruitment of the nursing team, design and build of the Clinical Simulation Centre and recruitment and welcoming of the first Adult Nursing cohort. Most recently he has established Adult Nursing at a new campus at Croydon College and designed two more simulation centres. Paul is currently leading the growth of Roehampton’s nursing portfolio including new curricula, staffing and partnerships. Paul was previously Associate Professor at Kingston University and St George's, University of London. He is a highly experienced senior nursing academic with a strong track record of leadership, curriculum development, innovation and educational enhancement. He was previously BSc Course Leader for a large pre-registration nursing programme with 900 students across all four fields. He was also professional lead for Adult Acute Nursing and managed an academic team. Prior to that he held leadership roles in workforce development (WfD) - designing, delivering and enhancing courses in emergency, acute and critical care and work-based learning (WBL). Paul has collaborated with local healthcare organisations for nearly 20 years and has excellent working relationships with key practice partners. Paul has published a range of clinical articles, book chapters and textbooks.
