Research interests

My research focuses on neurodevelopmental disorders, specifically autism spectrum conditions (ASC) and developmental language disorder (DLD), and there are two core stands.  One is literacy and language acquisition, including factors influencing learning for individuals with ASC and DLD, and ways that this can be facilitated.  I am also interested in academic transitions, and to date I have focused on the transition from primary to secondary school for children with DLD and the transition out of university for students with ASC, as well as those with mental health conditions.
