Biography

Rodrigo has joined the University of Roehampton in 2016. His research is innovative focusing on risk management and governance, the interaction of humans and accounting technologies and the politics in the construction of managerial discourses. His PhD thesis was related to the challenges and opportunities of risk-management implementation in the banking sector, considering recent trends and best practices in this field. Rodrigo has a strong background in quantitative and qualitative research and both professional and deep theoretical understanding of the implementation and institution of risk management practices.

Consultancy work

In relation to accounting, management, and finance, Rodrigo brings significant professional and academic experience in financial and non-financial firms particularly in the areas of risk management, internal controls and internal and external auditing. He started to work in the banking sector in 2006 and had several experiences at financial and non-financial organisations in Brazil after that. This gave him a broader view of the practices and constraints around risk management and control in diversified contexts.
