Personal profile

Sahil Sambyal is a PhD scholar who has submitted his final thesis and is currently awaiting his viva scheduled in June 2022. His research is interdisciplinary and investigates the cohesive role of organization’s marketing and accounting strategies on firm’s stock market performance. More specifically, it explores the long-term performance implications of unanticipated changes in firm’s brand equity and how management’s core competence and marketing capability moderate this marketing-finance relationship. In order to empirically accomplish the overall research objective, his study incorporates several quantitative investigation techniques such as discounted cashflow model, capital asset pricing model, stock return response modelling and data envelopment benchmarking analysis. He was awarded the Vice-Chancellor’s scholarship for his PhD studies, and is a member of Accounting, Finance, Economics and Governance (AFEG) and Marketing, Operations, Supply Chain, and Innovation (MOSI) research clusters at Roehampton business school.
