Biography

Shimana is a BACP registered Counsellor and Psychotherapist in the field of Psychology, and has a specialised interest in complex disorders, including complex trauma and PTSD. Shimana is in the stages of her Doctorate Programme at the Roehampton University in London, undertaking research work as a developing Counselling Psychologist.

Research interests

Schizophrenia, psychosis, complex trauma and PTSD, diassociation, ADHD, personality disorders, and addictions.

Research projects

Exploring Perspectives of Practitioners working with individuals diagnosed with schizophrenia, psychosis; to inform future practice within the field of Counselling Psychology. (2021 - ongoing)
