Personal profile

Biography

With 16 years of teaching experience in primary schools covering all age ranges, I have strong skills in the areas of team leadership, event management, co-ordinating events between community groups, and have actively participated in the promotion of visual art in education. I am a Primary Art and Early Years specialist now concentrating my skills by working in HE in order to inspire the next generation of teachers. I teach on art specialist courses at undergraduate and post graduate level, and also with non specialists. I am a practicing artist, with a particular interest in drawing and painting, which allows me to keep abreast of current developments in the field of contemporary art and this relates directly into my work as an educator.
