Biography
Sylvia Ellis joined Roehampton in January 2017 as Professor of American History, having previously been Head of Humanities at Northumbria University. She has received funding for her research from the British Academy and the Nuffield Foundation.

Sylvia's interests encompass contemporary political history, British and American history, including foreign policy, presidential history, and social movements. She welcomes enquiries form applicants interested in gradute work (MA, MRes and PhD) related to her research interests.
