Tuba's research interests include migration, integration, intersectionality and belonging. Currently she is exploring these topics for Cypriot-Turkish, Turkish and Kurdish migrant women in London.
Tuba is a fourth-year Ph.D. candidate in the School of Humanities and Social Sciences at the University of Roehampton under the supervision of Professor Bryony Hoskins and Professor Leah Bassel. Her doctoral work explores the integration and belonging of the Cypriot-Turkish, Turkish, and Kurdish migrant women in London. She also holds an M.A. from Lancaster University in Diplomacy and a B.A. from Middle East Technical University, Turkey, in Political Science and Public Administration.
Tuba joined the PhD programme in September 2019. She also works as a Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG) Advisor for Imece Women Center which is a women-only BAME organisation in London.
