After a period in media consulting, publishing and lecturing in London (Goldsmiths, UEL, LSBU), I joined the media team at Roehampton in September 2005. I teach on the BAs in Media and Culture and Mass Communications and MAs in Media, Communication and Culture and Intercultural Communication in the Creative Industries. My research interests revolve around the transnationalization of the media, exploring market continuities and dynamics of change: socio-political, economic, technological and historic frameworks alongside changes in consumption. Most recently, my research has included work on the TV Format phenomenon and the transnationalization of TV drama, particularly non-English TV drama series. I am the Director of the AHRC-funded Media Across Borders Network and a member of the Centre for Research in Film and Audiovisual Cultures (CRFAC).
