Biography

Zita has set up and headed the HR function for international companies operating in the UK and Europe.  She has worked across various sectors including shipping (The Maersk Company), renewable energy (Statkraft) and the Higher Education sector (HEI) as a HR leader and Senior HRM Practitioner.  She is a Chartered Member of the CIPD, a Committee member and Student Engagement Lead (SEL) for the South West London CIPD Branch.  She is also a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.  In addition to teaching, she has worked as a consultant advising organisations on effective leadership and people management strategies.  She is also a Practitioner of Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) coaching clients on achieving personal and professional success.

Zita is the Programme Leader for the MSc Global HRM programme and the Module Leader for both Cross Cultural Management and Contemporary Developments in Employee Relations, modules taught on the BSc Business Management and BSc HRM programmes at the University of Roehampton.  

In industry she has led on strategic learning and people management initiatives and has been a member of the Renewables Training Network (RTN), Universities and Colleges Employers Association (UCEA) and Universities UK (UUK).

Teaching

Zita is committed to developing conscious, ethical and sustainable business leaders through her teaching. She has taught on a variety of topics relating to Business Strategy, International Human Resources Management, Cross Cultural Management, Organisational Behaviour, Organisational Development, Leadership and Change Management.  She have successfully proposed, introduced and fully re-designed programmes and modules.  This has led to improved learning and satisfaction for both university students and corporate clients. She have also supervised numerous undergraduate and postgraduate dissertations and consultancy projects. 

Previously she has been a Visiting Lecturer at Kingston Business School and the Claude Littner Business School where she has been the Module Leader for postgraduate modules such as Employment Law and Strategic HRM in a Business Context.  She has been the Programme Leader for the MBA programme and taught in the Faculty of Engineering, Computing and the Environment (Kingston University) on Organisational Behaviour, Leadership and Change Management.

Attending the Mental Health First Aid (MFHA) training in 2022 has provided her with an awareness of when and how to better support her students as needed, to succeed.

Consultancy work

Zita worked with the COO for Reed Learning to tailor the new approved MSc Global HRM (Top Up) programme. 

She has previously designed and developed programmes for international corporate clients in oil and gas, banking and finance.   Now, she is often called on and enjoys helping others on a pro-bono basis ranging from coaching on career and CV development, employee relations management or connecting networks to enhance opportunities for start ups and SMEs.

Zita is a Chartered Member of the Chartered Insititute of Personnel Development (MCIPD).  She is also a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA).
