Description
In order to meet the demands brought about by the fast-paced changes taking place in the market, the AVT Pro Certification under development is a professional qualification, recognised and accepted by the localisation industry as a badge of quality and competence. It is endorsed by leading media localization providers, who have funded its development.
This initiative led by Dr Serenella Massidda (Roehampton University) and Prof Jorge Diaz Cintas (University College London) aims to set and maintain high professional standards by recognising translators who possess the linguistic knowledge and technical skills necessary to provide quality language services for the audiovisual industry. It will provide candidates, employers and clients with a unique guarantee of excellence and professionalism.
The certification is expected to be rolled out in late 2022.
