Description
Diet is a modifiable lifestyle factor that can significantly impact health and wellbeing. Recent research highlights the significance of both diet and nutritional intake in influencing mental health. A healthy diet is associated with reduced risk of depression, anxiety, poor sleep, and improvements in depression symptomology. However, there is limited understanding of whether practitioners engage with and promote nutrition-based strategies in their clinical practice. This research aims to explore the perceptions and awareness of mental health practitioners regarding the role of nutrition-based strategies in the treatment of mental health conditions.
