Description

This project covers a range of studies and writings that have focused on the development of methods for sharing decisions with clients in counselling and psychotherapy: that is, flexibly adapting practice to clients' preferences. This includes work on the development of the Cooper-Norcross Inventory of Preferences (C-NIP), which aims to assess clients' preferences on a range of key dimensions. It also includes the development of 'pluralistic therapy: An approach to counselling and psychotherapy which aims to tailor therapy to the unique needs and wants of each individual client.
