Description
This project explores the relationship between trade policies and technological changes and how they affect the global production network after the US-China trade war and COVID-19. The empirical focus is to analyse whether there is a connection between the offshoring/reshoring of production networks due to automation technology and the wage and labour market at the local level, using business and patent data from individual firms. This research aims to provide a comprehensive assessment of the impact of trade and technological shocks on the performance of firms, as well as the economic growth at national, regional, and international levels.
