The effect of COVID-19 Lockdown on the learning journey of commuter students.

Project Details

Description

We explore the range of engagement and coping strategies used in transitioning to remote learning as a result of the COVID crisis. The project will utilise a literature review to understand existing research on three areas namely- (a) commuter students learning experiences (b) the impact of sudden and significant disruptions on learning journeys (c) transitioning into online learning journeys by those who did not sign up to it in the first place. The literature review will underpin the content of interviews and workshop-style focus groups utilised in gathering evidence of the student experience during the Covid19 crisis. The data will provide a granular understanding of the kinds of support that would be beneficial to facilitate the achievement of learning outcomes at present and the future.
