The research project examined the concept and discourse of leadership in the context of Methodist schools in England. Through interviews with head teachers and chaplains (as those with senior positions of responsibility) in a range of state and independent Methodist church schools in England, the project explored how they understand leadership, their perceptions of its perceived purpose and impact, and how they articulate their practice.
