Abstract
This writing documents a four-hour workshop based on movement in relation to others. Research questions circulate around how we encounter difference and work with the embodied impact. Structured through movement tasks, the workshop draws on somatic bodywork, movement improvisation and object play, interweaving with discussion. A mind body practice of working with gravity is encouraged to support relational encounter. Parallels are made with Gestalt maps, self and environmental support, phenomenological enquiry and presence. Participants are encouraged to be with the dialogic uncertainties that emerge, as a source for creativity. The workshop offers a playful movement experience and nurtures respect for aesthetics of otherness.
