Abstract
This chapter explains and discusses classroom display. It puts display into a wider context and consider the environment for learning in setting working with pupils 3-11 and how different elements interact. It uses a historical and societal perspective to try to consider how things have come to be and how we have developed norms of practice. It values display as a valuable form of valuing learning but will also be critical. It shows practitioners possibilities for creative display and how display for learning might be developed through case study examples to frame the debate.
