Abstract
This book achieves two things. First it works to deepen the established methodology of theological action research developed by the author, enquiring after its epistemology and theological fundamentals. Secondly, and substantially, it demonstrates how academic ecclesiology can be re-shaped through theological action reproach and attending to the practices of 'church' among Christian people today. To this end it profiles 7 empirical theological action research projects, and engages their learning with established ecclesiological themes and scholarship.
