Abstract
Deficits in expectancy-based (EB) semantic processing are hallmark features of the neurocognitive changes associated with schizophrenia. We used dimensions of schizotypy in healthy persons as an analogue for schizophrenia to investigate how high schizotypy ratings might alter electrophysiologic measures of EB priming.
These findings suggest a relationship between high schizotypal personality characteristics and alterations in the processing of distantly associated words in an EB priming task.
