Exploring Passion through a Positive Psychology Coaching Intervention

Research output: Chapter in Book/Report/Conference proceedingChapter

Abstract

Practitioners show an interest in the concept of passion
at work, in particular professionals in Human Resources
Development, Leadership development, Coaching and other
people-centric roles (Thibault-Landry et al., 2018). Scholarly
publications on entrepreneurship and Passion can also be
found (Chen, Yao and Kotha, 2009), (Chen, Liu and He, 2015),
(Thorgren and Wincent, 2015) with a proposed definition:
“entrepreneurial passion as an entrepreneur’s intense affective
state accompanied by cognitive and behavioural manifestations
of high personal value” (Chen, Yao and Kotha, 2009).
As a passionologist, I investigate Passion and as a practitioner
I create practical ways to help people live with purpose and
passion. This includes the use of coaching, positive psychology
(PP), and Positive Psychology Coaching (PPC).
