    Abstract

The chapter investigates the short and long term financial initiatives and strategies of the Triumvirs (43-31 BC) during a period marked by political instability, violence, and economic uncertainty. Confiscations, monetary reforms and fiscal policies are analysed not only as responses to immediate needs and agendas, but as the outcome of structural developments and institutional change that laid the foundations of the Principate.
