Abstract
A new form of leadership to better the world is needed.
Passionate leadership in organisations (PLIO) is proposed as a response. It is identified as a way of life which aims at bettering the world, while being authentic to oneself.
PLIO is characterised by having a clear purpose in life, being affected by the impact of both harmonious passion (HP) and obsessive passion (OP), exercising an influence on followers to drive actions forward so leading to success.
Practically, to unleash purpose and passion for leaders and to create team trust, organisational experts and practitioners can use the research based 4P model© which introduces transformational pillars - Purpose, Passion, Positivity and Power.
