Abstract

WECreate ICE was a research project with linked outcomes in a range of formats: a work for live performance with projected images, performed at international venues; a multi-screen looping installation as part of the touring exhibition Latent Spaces; and a screendance shown at national and international screendance festivals (see contextual details). The WECreate ICE series was jointly devised by Heike Salzer (Direction, Dance & Choreography, Camera, Editing, Costume Design, Production) and Ana Baer (Direction, Camera, Editing, Costume Design, Production), supported by Ingi Jensson (Location & Logistics) who guided the expedition through Iceland and commissioned several composers (see credits) to collaborate in the production of the soundscores.
