Abstract
This collection is the first book-length project to interrogate the relationship between femininity and ageing through the prism of celebrity culture, built around a series of case studies drawn from international contexts and examining various media forms and industries. It argues celebrity has not yet been adequately examined as arguably the central lens in popular culture through which to interrogate questions of ageing and gender, an intervention which this collection places centre-stage.
