Abstract

This book aims to explore the increasingly growing area of children’s identities in early childhood focusing on understanding the complexity and competency involved in children constructing and negotiating identities across contexts which children are most situated with. The book provides an wider and deeper insight into young children’s identities and invite all the stakeholders such as parents, practitioners, students, professionals, academics, researchers and policy makers to broaden understanding, listen to children with authentic interest, challenge own assumptions, stereotypes, prejudices against childhood and children, embrace and promote justice and humanity in order to support children’s wellbeing and experiences in the early stage of life course.
