Biography
I have worked as a primary teacher in a number of local schools, teaching in Key Stage 2, Key Stage 1 and in the Foundation Stage. I have acted as Foundation Stage Manager and Literacy Co-ordinator.
ISCHE Conference Paper Prize winner for a new researcher, awarded for the presentation at the Utrecht conference

Research interests
History of Education, particularly early years education, policy development and local government. Children's Literature, particular plays for child performers and other resources produced for use in educational contexts.

Teaching
I teach on the BA and MA Early Childhood Studies programmes. I am convenor for modules in Communication, Language and Literacy, Environments for Living and Learning and Leadership and Teamwork.
